Travel
There are a number of locations that have made this list and I have already considered a couple more, which will be revealed in due course, if they pan out.
This is the confirmed list to date:
- Prague and Budapest between Christmas and New Year. Filling the time well instead of moping round the house eating chocolates and drinking creme de menthe!!
- Antigua in January. Escaping from the drudgery that is the UK in the first part of the year! Nabbed a penthouse flat with sea and mountain views for peanuts!! Just a 9 hour flight to contend with!
- Copenhagen in February. City break with the 2 youngest. Flights and accommodation are cheap as chips. I'm told the city itself is quite expensive but I'm sure we'll manage to budget our way around town.
Complete - travelog to follow
- LA in March. This is replacing Mad Cool festival and also covers meeting with seldom seen SM friends.

- Milan at Easter. The girl has been getting the concerts so this is one for the boy. Watching AC Milan play at the San Siro. No travelog for this one as it was a quick in and out. Safe to say the boy had a great time at the footy. Tickets were very easy to get hold of so something we'll likely do again.
- A bonus trip occurred when I got a little bit tipsy and noticed Muse had been added to the MadCool line up. I did a bit of drunken budgeting and decided it would be a good idea to spend 5 days in Madrid and then actioned that plan 2 weeks later. There's a wee write up about MadCool in the lifestyle section. It was great though!
- Crossing the Arctic Circle in June. This seemed quite a fantastical thing to try and achieve as there is a small island off the north coast of Iceland that just nudges over the 6633 latitude. Not as expensive as you might think
- Montana and Grand Canyon in August. 4 days in a log cabin in Montana followed by a road trip to Grand Canyon and sights along the way including nipping onto the SkyWalk and testing my head for heights! So the SkyWalk bit didn't materialise as I never realised how far away it actually was from out route. This was ably compensated for with an excellent horse riding session up in Montana. Not as much adrenalin but very enjoyable. The combined log cabin / road trip itinerary worked really well and we got to experience some wonderful sites. A travelog may appear at some point but I need to catch up on the others first!!
Watch out for blog links appearing here as each trip gets ticked off.
Vaya con Dios!!
